Dr. Abdullah Nasir works as an Assistant Professor at Dr. Ram Manohar Lohiya National Law University. Specialized in International Law, he teaches Public International Law, Human Rights, International Humanitarian Law, Refugee Law, Environmental Law and Affirmative Action Law. A keen critic of Western domination on international law discourses, his research interests include a third world approach to international law, challenges to human rights in the contemporary world and interface of international humanitarian law and international environmental law and importance of affirmative action and its legal scope and limitations in India.
Prior to his stint at Dr Ram Manohar Lohiya National Law University, Dr Nasir worked with the National Commission for Women, an apex body for protecting and promoting the interests of Indian women. Dr. Nasir wrote his doctoral thesis on “Environmental Protection during Armed Conflict: A Critical Appraisal of International Legal Regimes.”
Dr. Nasir, besides contributing articles in reputed journals and online news portals, has also participated in several National and International conferences. He is a member of Asian Society of International Law and also an associate member of Indian Society of International Law.
