Dr. Ankita Yadav is an Assistant Professor of Law at Dr. RMLNLU. She completed her LL.B.(Hons.) from Banaras Hindu University in 2013 and her LL.M. from Dr. RMLNLU in 2015, and she was awarded a silver medal in her LL.M. In her LL.M., she worked on Crime against women in India with special reference to Acid Violence. She cleared the NET(JRF) and AIB in 2015 and joined Dr. RMLNLU as an Assistant Professor in 2016. She also completed her Doctorate in 2021 and worked on Right to Privacy in India with a special focus on Digital Privacy. In her work, apart from Indian privacy laws, she also focused on International scenarios. Her area of specialization includes constitutional law, media law, law of torts, and legal research methodology. She has to her credit several publications in reputed journals and books. Currently, she is teaching in B.A.LL.B.(Hons.), LL.M., Ph.D., and Diploma Courses.
She has also presented several papers in national and international seminars and attended a number of conferences and workshops. She also completed a short-term certificate course in 2019, organised by the International Union for Conservation of Nature. In April 2023, she was part of a round table meet on ChatGPT-Beginning of the End of Juris Copyright, orgainsed by Hidayaullah National Law University. She has been a guest speaker at Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agriculture Science and Technology of Jammu, Sadanlal Sanwaldas Khanna Girl’s Degree College, Prayagraj, and Direct Taxes Regional Training Institute, Lucknow, on various topics.
She has also guided students in LL.M. on various Constitutional and International Law topics and is currently guiding Ph.D. students. She has been organizing member of Two Day Training Program on Legislative Drafting for Officers/ Officials of Government of Uttar Pradesh, Conference on Emerging Trends in Environmental Law and Policy in India (Prof. Harihar Nath Tripathi Foundation, Varanasi), Seminar on Contextualizing Mahatma Gandhi's Philosophy in the 21st Century: Democracy, Justice, Equality and Non- Violence (Co-Conveners), Dr. RMLNLU, Lucknow, Conference on Changing Paradigm of Environment Protection in India (Advisory Committee Member), Prof. Harihar Nath Tripathi Foundation, Varanasi, National Workshop on Doing Sociological Research with Historical Sensibilities (Organizing Committee Member), Dr. RMLNLU.
During college, she was an active member of Academique (A Discussion Group) and part of a free legal camp organised by Law School, BHU. She stood First in the Intra Law School Moot Court Competition and participated in various national moot court competitions. She worked as a trainee in the Corporate Law Department of Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited, Delhi, where she had the privilege of working on various appeal orders under RTI and different aspects of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act. She has also had the opportunity to work under the able guidance of Senior Advocate Rana Mritunjay Singh at the High Court (Lucknow Bench).
She has rendered services to the University in various administrative and academic capacities as a member of committees, including Website Management Committee, Placement and Internship Committee, Cultural Committee, Student Welfare Committee, Legal Aid Committee, Moot Court, Debate and other Competitions Committee, Sustainable Development Goal-4 (Quality Education), Proctorial Board Member, Committee to organize Seminars, Workshops, Extra Mural and Special Lectures, Online Education and LMS Cell.
