Dr Aparna Singh is an esteemed legal researcher with 15 years of teaching and research experience as a senior Assistant Professor of Law at Dr Ram Manohar Lohiya National Law University in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, India. She is an accomplished author with five published books to her credit: Right to Information, Right to Self-Incrimination and Narco-Analysis, Challenges before Human Rights: Search for a New Paradigm, Unveiling the Legal Dynamics of Marital Rape and Civil Society and good governance
Dr. Singh has made significant contributions to various fields of legal scholarship. She has contributed to different knowledge volumes and periodicals and published approximately 50 articles, research papers, and book chapters in reputed edited volumes and journals. Additionally, she has delivered invited lectures as a resource person and presented papers at numerous national and international seminars, conferences, and workshops. She is associated with All India Radio and other channels as an expert talker on legal and socio-cultural issues and has been counselling the students enrolled in different programmes of IGNOU since 2010.
Dr. Singh has obtained a B.A., LL.B., and LL.M. degree from the University of Lucknow. She has been awarded Ph.D. in Law from Baba Saheb Bhim Rao Ambedkar (Central) University Lucknow. She qualified for UGC-NET in December 2008 & June 2010; as a meritorious scholar, she received Gold Medals during her LL.B. examinations. Seven scholars have obtained Ph.D. degrees in Law under her supervision. Specializing in Constitutional Law and Human Rights. Dr. Singh's other areas of interest include International Humanitarian Law, Criminal Law, Insurance Law, and Cultural Studies. In addition to her teaching and research, she has extensive experience as an academic administrator.
