Dr Tiwari is the founding faculty member and head of the Department of Legal Studies at Dr R.M.L. National Law University. He is the author of the book- ENVIRONMENTAL LAWS IN INDIA, Published by Deep & Deep Publications Pvt. Ltd., New Delhi. Dr. Tiwari has received the UGC merit scholarship during his LL.M. Course in Banaras Hindu University. He has been awarded a Doctorate Degree for his thesis in Environmental Law. Dr. Tiwari served in the Department of Law, University of North Bengal, from 1998 to 2006. Thereafter, he joined Dr. Ram Manohar Lohiya National Law University in July 2006.

He is looking after various important academic and administrative responsibilities. Presently, he is associated with many reputed Universities as a member of the board of studies and external examiner. Dr Tiwari has contributed immensely to the formulation and introduction of LL.B., LL.B.(Hons.), LL.M. and PhD programmes at several Universities. Having long teaching and administrative experience, Dr. Tiwari, besides contributing research articles to reputed law journals, has also participated in several national and international conferences, seminars, and workshops.
