Dr Samreen Hussain has completed her B.A.LL.B. from AMU, Aligarh, and LL.M. from Indian Law Institute Delhi with first-class specialisation in Human Rights and Criminal Law. She is also the recipient of ILI merit scholarship LL.M. She has completed her Ph.D. from the Department of Legal Studies, Dr RMLNLU, Lucknow on the Topic “Women Property In India: A Critical Analysis”
She has published numerous papers in international as well as national journals on topics ranging from climate change, reform in personal laws to women issues. she has also taken numerous seminars on sexual Harassment at workplace in schools, colleges as well as corporate. She has also participated as well as organised numerous International as well as national seminars and conferences She has been part of the Legal Aid Committee of RMLNLU and has also worked with women organizations like AALI and Majlis. She is currently warden of Girls hostel as well as member of Anti-Ragging committee, Anti Ragging squad and Proctorial Board of the University.
She is also a Guest Faculty at DTRTI (Direct Taxes Regional Training Institute) Lucknow and NBSC (National Bank Staff College) Lucknow
In the last 12 years she has taught range of papers from family law, Criminal Law , Corporate International Human Rights Law, Gender and Law Though her area of interest has always been feminist jurisprudence and human rights.
