Vikas Bhati, Ph. D. (Law) is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Legal Studies at Dr. RMLNLU, Lucknow. He received his Ph. D. in Biotechnology laws from Dr. RMLNLU, his LL.M. from National Law Institute University, Bhopal and his B.A.LL.B. (Hons.) from the University of Lucknow, Lucknow. Dr. Bhati’s areas of expertise include IP Laws, IP Management, AI Law & Policy, Digital Human Rights and Space Law. His academic publications have appeared in leading law journals covering various facets of IP Laws.
He is also currently serving as Director of Intellectual Property- Policy
Research and Ecosystem Centre for Innovation, Science and Entrepreneurship (IP-PRECISE). He is also one of the Directors in the RMLNLU Incubation Foundation and Deputy Director for the PGDIPR course at the University. Besides, he is also the Faculty Coordinator for the Legal Aid Committee and Legal Aid Clinic and the Faculty Advisor for the Seminar Committee and Pro Bono Club at the University.
Dr. Bhati is a prolific speaker and has delivered expert lectures on IP issues at numerous institutions of repute and in several training programs. His work experience includes being a Research Officer at the Indian Institute of Public Administration, New Delhi and the Faculty of Law at the University of Delhi. Besides, he is also a visiting faculty for the Certificate Course on Patents at the University of Delhi.
Dr. Bhati is teaching IP law and IP Management in the graduate, Honors and Post-Graduate Courses.
