The Sports Committee of Dr. Ram Manohar Lohiya National Law University (RMLNLU), Lucknow, serves as the cornerstone of all sporting activities on campus, dedicated to promoting the physical and holistic development of students. Recognizing the critical role sports play in moulding individuals into well-rounded and resilient personalities, the Committee ensures that every event, match, and tournament contributes to enhancing teamwork, responsibility, and leadership qualities among students.

The Committee’s primary function is to regulate and manage all sporting activities which includes overseeing the maintenance facilities such as the basketball court, cricket and football fields, volleyball court, tennis courts, and the multi-purpose sports hall and gym.

A key highlight of the committee’s calendar is AAVAHAN, the university’s premier annual sports fest, which draws participation from over 40 institutions nationwide. Known for its ethical gaming standards, top-notch facilities, and outstanding hospitality, AAVAHAN offers students a unique platform to showcase their skills, forge lasting memories, and learn through competition. The fest serves as a four-day celebration of sportsmanship, uniting students in friendly competition and culminating in a grand celebration.

In addition to AAVAHAN, the Committee organizes FENZA, a flagship intra-college event that adds a unique twist to conventional sporting tournaments. FENZA’s signature events include "Battledore" for badminton, "Claim the Hoop" for basketball, the "Sahil Zaidi Memorial Volleyball Tournament," "Balls of Fury" for table tennis, "Panenka" for football, and the "Lohiya Premier League" for cricket, among others.

The affairs of the Sports Committee are overseen by Prof. Dr. Manish Singh, who serves as the Chairperson, supported by a dedicated Student Committee. Together, they strive to ensure that sports at RMLNLU are not just about competition but also about camaraderie, personal development, and creating lifelong memories.
